In the present world, almost every laptop and pc are running Windows 10 operating system. By default, Windows 10 comes with a preloaded Camera App which is owned by Microsoft. So, whenever a user tries to open the Camera App, many of them are experiencing this error saying “0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached>”. These days, mostof the people are facing the error with their new laptops. This error might occur due to plenty of reasons. Here are the five (5) possible ways to fix the error in all the laptops or PCs.

Ways to Fix 0xA00F4244 <NoCamerasAreAttached> error
1. Check whether Camera is turned on or not
These days, many of the laptop/ PC companies like MSI, Asus, Lenovo, Acer, etc. are offering the separate keys to turn the Camera on and off. Below are the most common keys used in almost all the laptops to fix this issue.
- Turn on your laptop/ PC.
- On your keyboard, hold Fn (Function) + F6 button togetherly to turn on the Camera.
Heya! Your Camera will be turned on successfully, and you can start using it. In most cases, this kind of fix for the issue works only in new laptops/ PC. Follow the below methods if your issue doesn’t get fixed.
2. Reset Webcam
In some cases, there might also be a problem with the Camera software or drivers. So, resetting the Webcam might help us to fix this issue. Below are a few steps which you need to follow to Reset your Webcam.
- On your keyboard, Click Win key + I to open Settings
- Navigate to App and Features
- Find out the Camera app and click on Advanced Settings
- Now, reset your Camera and reboot your Laptop/ PC.
If there is a problem with the Camera software, then in most of the cases, the issue might be fixed by following the above steps. In case if the issue doesn’t get resolved, then follow the below steps.
3. Update Camera Driver
Follow the below steps to check whether your camera driver is up to date or not.
- Right-click on Start menu and select Device Manager.
- Now, head to Imaging devices or Camera’s and expand the sub-menu.
- Give a right-click on Webcam device and choose update driver.
- Update the Camera driver or reinstall it.
- Now, reboot your Laptop/ PC.
In case, if there is a problem with the driver then is most of the cases, it should be fixed by following the above steps. If you are still facing the same issue, then follow below.
4. Scan for malware
In some cases, a few Antivirus might block the System’s app and take over the control due to Security reasons. To sort out this issue, a full scan should be performed by using any good antivirus.
- Open any Antivirus or Windows Defender.
- Now, navigate to Virus and Threat protection and scan your entire laptop/ PC.
- After completing the scan, make sure to restart your Laptop/ PC.
5. Re-Register the Windows App Store
Last but not least, Re-Registering the Windows App Store might also fix the issue in a few cases. So, to do the process, follow the below steps.
- Search for “CMD” and run it as administrator.
- Now, paste the below code and hit enter.
