Asus is continuously updating its devices to the latest available versions by sending software and Security Patch updates. Recently, Zenfone 5 and the new ROG Phone 3 have tasted the August 2020 Security Patch. The ROG Phone becomes the recent (latest) device to join the list.

Asus ROG Phone picks a new update with August 2020 Security Patch

Moving to the update part, it is spinning on 16.0420.2006.30 Firmware version and as of now, it is limited to Indian users only. The update adds the August patch and a few improvements. The improvements include 3rd party app compatibility, and speaker audio quality while playing games.

As the update is rolling limitedly, it might also take a few days to reach each and every smartphone. However, you can check the update status manually by following the below steps.

How to update?

Before going ahead with the update, make sure to switch a WiFi network to avoid carrier data charges. Also, maintain at least 60% of charging.

  1. Open Settings and head to Software updates
  2. Now, Check for updates

If the update is available to your smartphone then update is for the better experience.
