Xiaomi has finally launched Android-based MIUI 12 skin globally. The new MIUI 12 is the upgraded version of MIUI 11 with a new design and many more features.

Although everyone around the world is experiencing lockdown, Many smartphone companies like Realme, Xiaomi, Oneplus, Apple, and many others are launching their devices online. In a similar way, Xiaomi announced it’s new skin globally.

As expected earlier, The new MIUI 12 comes with a bunch of features and completely changed user interface. Now, Let’s have a look at new MIUI 12 features.

Super wallpapers:

The MIUI 12 adds plenty of attractive wallpapers as the MIUI 12 user interface is inspired by nature. Now, You need not need to download any external apps for getting live wallpapers. Xiaomi has added the live wallpapers feature in MIUI 12 which is named as super wallpapers. You can set live wallpapers to your home screens and lock screen with different animations. You can add mars super wallpapers to your lock screen so that the mars start moving lively.

New animations:

The new MIUI 12 comes with many features including icon animations, Modified home screen, and many more. It also brings many new system changes for adding real-time Gaussian blur and advanced color blending options. The opening and closing style of the apps are almost the same as Apple’s IOS operating system.

Control center:

The new MIUI 12 brings a completely modified control panel. The control center comes with a pretty look with all quick settings tiles. To access the control panel, You need to swipe down from the right top edge of your display, and to access the notifications, You need to swipe down from the left top edge of your display. This concept is copied from Apple’s IOS operating system.

Modified Dark Mode:

The new MIUI 12 Dark Mode looks very pretty and attractive with a clean design. The dark mode is also available in MIUI 11 but this dark mode can be applied and removed to any app of our choice. The dark mode is applicable for system apps, third-party apps, and many others.

App Drawer:

For older MIUI versions, there is an App drawer for only Poco mobiles. Previously, Xiaomi mobile doesn’t have App draws, All the apps are available on the home screen itself. And Finally, the App Drawer is available in MIUI 12 for all devices. The App Drawer is transparent, The home screen background can be seen lightly on the App Drawer.

Privacy Protections:

The new MIUI 12 brings many new security features as well. The Xiaomi is not only adding privacy features, but it is also trying it’s level best to make it look attractive. The MIUI 12 has made privacy information in a user understandable way. There is a lot of difference between Google’s stock Android and MIUI’s skin.

Casting:

Casting is a built-in feature that comes with the Android operating system. But the stock android has only screen mirroring and limited casting features. Keeping that in mind, MIUI 12 brought many changes for casting by adding more features. Through this casting, You can connect your mobile directly to any other external screen without a wire (or wirelessly).

Floating Windows:

The MIUI 12 brings a new feature named Floating Windows, Which allows you to use any two apps at a time. This floating window feature is supported in almost all system apps and in third-party apps also.
