As HMD promised earlier that it is going to provide the updates for three(3) years from the release date of the mobile. Finally, HMD global is updating almost all it’s all Android mobiles to the latest Android version.

The Nokia 1 Plus has launched back in February 2019. By default, The device runs Android v9.0 out of the box and probably this is the first Android update for Nokia 1 Plus. Almost after the one year of its launch, Finally, Nokia 1 plus starts getting Android 10(Go Edition) update.

The official news of the Nokia 1 Plus Android 10 update has been announced by HMD’s Global CPO Juho Sarvikas on Twitter.

The list of countries getting Nokia 1 plus Android 10 update include:

Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Iran, Bangladesh, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Qatar, Tunisia, UAE, Jordan, and Yemen.

The company had given a statement that 10% of all these approved markets will start getting the updates today i.e April 30 and 50% will be getting the update by May 2nd and on May 4th, 100% of users from the above countries will receive Android 10.

How to check update?

If you are from the above-listed countries and if you want to know whether your device got the update or not then please follow the below instructions.

  1. Go to settings and navigate to the system.
  2. After that, go to advanced and tap on System updates.
  3. Now, Tap on check for updates.
