Samsung has recently pushed a new update for Verizon network carrier based Galaxy Note 8 mobiles. The Q720VS10g Firmware version update with the July 2020 Security Patch currently live in the U.S and already many of the users started experiencing it.

According to the release note, apart from Security Patch, there were no new features added to the device in this update. So, it usually features bug fixes for reported issues and several optimizations to increase the performance of the smartphone.

As of now, the update is rolling out via phases Over-the-Air (OTA). Hence, it at least takes a week to reach all the devices. in the meantime, follow the below instructions to check the update status manually.

You will be notified automatically if the update hits your device. Furthermore, to check the update status manually, follow the below-mentioned steps.

  1. At first, Head to settings > System updates.
  2. Now, Tap on check for updates.

If the update is available then download it for a better experience.
