Xiaomi has started seeding out the November 2020 Security patch update for the Redmi Note 8 devices. The update bears the V12.0.2.0.QCOMIXM Firmware version and already many of them have started experiencing the update.

As per the changelog, the update adds the latest Security patch, optimizations and fixes for known/reported issues. Apart from that, the company has not added any new features to the device. The changelog of the update is as follows.

As the update is rolling over the air (OTA), it takes a couple of days to reach all the units. Meanwhile, you can also navigate to Settings>Software updates>Check for updates to manually check the update status.
